Child ADHD Assessment: What to Expect

Step 1: Initial Questionnaires

Once your assessment is booked, you’ll receive detailed questionnaires to complete. These cover:

• Current challenges

We’ll also request feedback from your child’s school. If unavailable, we’ll work with other relevant sources.

Step 2: Clinical Observation & Interview (60 mins)

A licensed psychologist will conduct a structured observation to assess behaviour, attention, and emotional regulation.

Step 3: Specialist ADHD Interview (DIVA-5) (120 mins)

A gold-standard structured interview to explore ADHD symptoms in both childhood and the present.

Step 4:  QbCheck – Computerised ADHD Screening (15–20 mins) if required.

An objective digital test measuring attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity—at no additional cost.

Step 5: Feedback Session (30 mins)

Your clinician will review the findings, explain whether your child meets the criteria for ADHD, and answer your questions.

Step 6: Outcome Letter & Final Report

• Outcome Letter: Within 48 working hours of the feedback session

• Comprehensive Final Report: Within 5 weeks, including:

  • Full diagnostic summary

  • Tailored home/school recommendations

  • Suggested next steps for support
